Grade 5 titanium plate (Ti-6Al-4V, UNS R56400) is an alpha-beta (α+β) titanium alloy plate manufactured in accordance with the ASTM B265 standard.
Chemical Composition: Titanium (Ti) serves as the base element, with Aluminum (Al) content ranging from 5.5% to 6.75% and Vanadium (V) content from 3.5% to 4.5%. Impurity elements-such as Iron (Fe), Oxygen (O), Carbon (C), Nitrogen (N), and Hydrogen (H)-are strictly controlled to ensure consistent quality.
Mechanical Properties: In the annealed state, the material exhibits a minimum tensile strength of ≥895 MPa, a yield strength of ≥828 MPa, and an elongation of ≥10%. With a density of 4.43 g/cm³, it offers exceptional specific strength, good ductility, weldability, and fatigue resistance; it maintains stable performance at temperatures up to 400°C and demonstrates excellent corrosion resistance against seawater, acids, and alkalis.
Surface Treatment: Available finishes include pickled (export standard), bright, sandblasted, polished, and brushed surfaces. Protective film can be applied to prevent scratches during processing and transportation. Options include cold-rolled thin sheets and hot-rolled thick plates, with support for custom cutting to non-standard dimensions. EN10204 3.1 material test certificates are available. Widely used in aerospace, marine engineering, chemical processing equipment, and high-end machinery manufacturing.
