Black surface tungsten needle / rod

Black tungsten rod refers to a classification of surface treatment, not a material type, During the wire drawing process, it is lubricated with graphite emulsion, and after high-temperature drying, a layer of black graphite adheres to the surface, making the entire needle black without metallic luster, hence it is called a black rod.

It is different from the 150/175mm short-stem red head / gray head polished tungsten needles on the market (surface fine grinding, with color marks at the tail)

Disadvantages

1.No internal flaw detection: Some rods may have tiny pores or cracks inside. Not recommended for high-end precision welding.

2.Surface roughness, large graphite dust, requires wearing a mask during grinding.
Requires self-cutting and sharpening, less convenient for scattered small-scale welding compared to finished short rods.

3.Graphite layer has slight high-temperature splashing, and ultra-high cleanliness welding is prone to generating trace impurities.
