Pure nickel soft nickel strip Ni200 is a high-performance metal strip made of high-purity electrolytic nickel as raw material and processed by vacuum smelting, hot rolling, cold rolling, and precision annealing. The nickel content of the product is not less than 99.6% and strictly follows ASTM B162 and GB/T2072-2007 standards.
"Softness" is one of the core characteristics of this product. Compared with hard and semi-hard nickel strips, soft nickel strips have been fully annealed; the grain structure is uniform and fine, the internal stress is completely released, and they show excellent plasticity and ductility. Its Vickers hardness is significantly lower than that of hard products, and its elongation can reach more than 40%. Nickel strips in this state can easily undergo secondary processing such as stamping, bending, stretching, and welding without cracking and are especially suitable for manufacturing precision parts that require complex molding processes.
The microstructure of Ni200 pure nickel is a face-centered cubic, single-phase austenite structure. There is no solid-state phase transformation in a wide temperature range from room temperature to the melting point, and the structural stability is extremely strong. This stable crystal structure gives the material excellent comprehensive properties: good electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity, corrosion resistance, and unique magnetic properties and magnetostrictive properties. Pure nickel exhibits high corrosion resistance in a variety of corrosive environments, especially excellent resistance to strong alkali and reducing media.
In terms of electrical conductivity, the resistivity of Ni200 pure nickel is about 6.84×10⁻⁸ Ω·m, the electrical conductivity is about 22.6% IACS of copper, and the thermal conductivity is about 70 W/(m·K), which can effectively conduct the heat generated during work. The product also features low gas content and low vapor pressure, making it excellent in high-vacuum and high-temperature environments.
At present, the thickness of soft pure nickel strip can be as low as 0.025 mm, and the width covers 3 mm to 1020 mm, which can meet the diverse needs from microelectronic components to large industrial components.

The new energy battery field is one of the core application scenarios. Ni200 pure nickel strip is a key conductive connection material for lithium batteries, power batteries, and energy storage batteries. It is widely used in battery connectors, tabs, lead-out sheets, cut-off sheets, and other components. With its excellent flexibility and low contact resistance, the soft nickel tape can closely fit the battery poles, build a low-impedance conductive channel, and ensure stable current transmission. In new energy vehicle power battery modules, soft nickel strips can adapt to temperature changes during charge and discharge cycles, effectively avoiding safety hazards caused by loose connections. At the same time, Ni200 foil, as a negative electrode current collector, can effectively increase battery energy density due to its high conductivity and good compatibility with silicon-based negative electrodes.
In the electronic and electrical industry, Ni200 pure nickel strips are widely used in precision components such as electronic components, transistor casings, tube anodes, and filament leads. Its good solderability and electrical conductivity ensure reliable operation of electronic equipment. Soft nickel strips also have important applications in electromagnetic shielding, touch screens, special transformers, and other fields.
In terms of the chemical industry and corrosion-resistant equipment, Ni200 has excellent corrosion resistance to strong alkali (such as NaOH and KOH) and is a classic material for processing molten caustic soda. In the chlor-alkali industry, chemical pipelines, valve seals, and other scenarios, pure nickel tape has become an irreplaceable key material due to its excellent resistance to seawater, neutral salt solutions, and organic acids.
Soft nickel tape is also suitable for battery testing fixtures, providing a reliable temporary connection solution for laboratory battery performance testing.
Soft nickel tape can maintain sufficient strength and oxidation resistance for a long time below 315°C, making it an ideal choice for many medium- and low-temperature working conditions.
