Tantalum exhibits excellent stability against almost all strong inorganic acids, and the key performance data are as follows:
Hydrochloric acid: no corrosion in the full concentration range and boiling temperature, and can withstand the continuous delivery of 37% concentrated hydrochloric acid for a long time
Sulfuric acid: The corrosion rate is as low as 0.0004mm/year below 175℃, and can still be controlled within 0.006mm/year at 200℃
Nitric acid and aqua regia: no chemical reaction at room temperature to boiling temperature, suitable for transporting strong oxidizing acids
Phosphoric acid: Stable operation below 150°C, corrosion rate controllable in high temperature scenarios, performance better than zirconium and nickel-based alloys
