Among the various manufacturing processes for tantalum crucibles, although the machining method is more expensive, the unique advantages it brings to high-end application scenarios are difficult to match with other processes.
Ultimate material density and purity
The machined tantalum crucible directly uses high-density forged tantalum rods or tantalum ingots as the blank, and the material is removed by cutting to finally shape it. This process completely avoids the tiny pores or impurities that may be introduced by the powder metallurgy sintering process, and also eliminates potential corrosion points and mechanical weak areas caused by component segregation and grain coarsening in the welding area during the welding process. The final product has a completely dense crystalline structure that is consistent with the blank, which is crucial for applications that need to carry active metals or highly corrosive molten salts in the molten state.
