Chromium Blocks

    The good performance of chromium blocks comes from what chromium metal is, like and how carefully they are made, which makes chromium blocks special in many different situations:

    We use pure chromium to make our products. This chromium is at 99.95 percent pure and for our best products it is 99.99 percent pure. We make sure that the bad stuff like iron, nickel, copper and silicon is barely there. Than 0.005 percent of each. This means that our products always work the way because the chemicals in them are always the same. This is important for things that really matter, like applications, where we need our Ultra-High Purity chromium to be reliable. We have -High Purity chromium that is stable and this is what makes it so good.

    The material has good resistance to corrosion. This is because a layer of chromium oxide forms on the surface. This layer does a job of protecting it from damage caused by mild acids, strong bases and other chemicals. It also keeps the material from corroding when it is exposed to air. The material stays strong when it is really cold or really hot from -60 degrees Celsius, to 350 degrees Celsius. This means it can be used for a time even in very tough conditions without falling apart. The corrosion resistance of the material is excellent.

    These chromium blocks are really tough. Can withstand a lot of wear. They have a Vickers hardness of 800HV or more which's very high. This means they can handle friction and impact well much better than regular metals.

    The chromium blocks also keep their shape and size even when they are used for a time. This is great because it means you do not have to spend much money to maintain the equipment and parts that use these blocks. Chromium blocks are great, for reducing maintenance costs.

    We have good control over the size of things. This is because we use machines to make them. We can make sure that the size is correct to within a small difference of 0.02 millimeters. Some common sizes are 50 millimeters long and 50 millimeters wide and 10 millimeters high or 100 millimeters long and 50 millimeters wide and 20 millimeters high. Dimensional Control is very important to us. We can also make things in sizes that're not common, like special orders, for specific equipment and projects that need Dimensional Control.

    This material has good thermal and electrical conductivity. It stays stable when it comes to conductivity, which is around 93.7 W divided by meter kelvin. It also has electrical conductivity. This makes it perfect, for things that need to transfer heat or conduct electricity like the bases of components and heating elements that get very hot.

    The making of chromium blocks is a big job. It has steps that have to be done just right. We have to be very careful, with every part of the process. This is how we make sure the chromium blocks work well and are all the same. The manufacturing of chromium blocks involves a lot of work to get everything right so the chromium blocks are good and people can count on them to work properly.

    Raw Material Purification: We start with high quality chromium ore. This chromium ore is then processed using water and special machines. We also use a vacuum to make sure the chromium is very clean. This way we get chromium powder that's very pure, at least 99.95% pure. We remove any bits of bad stuff by filtering the chromium many times. This helps us make sure our chromium powder is quality.

    Isostatic Pressing Forming is a process where Chromium powder is put into a rubber mold. Then it is pressed into blanks using a machine that applies a lot of pressure at least 200MPa. This way the blanks are very dense. Have no holes or defects, inside the Chromium powder. The Isostatic Pressing Forming process is important because it makes sure the Chromium powder blanks are perfect and have no problems.

    Vacuum Sintering is a process where Vacuum Sintering blanks are heated in a furnace that has a very low air pressure almost like a vacuum at a very high temperature around 1800 degrees Celsius to 2000 degrees Celsius for a long time usually 6 to 8 hours. This process of Vacuum Sintering helps to get rid of any spaces inside the material makes the Vacuum Sintering material more dense with a density of more than 7.1 g/cm³ and also makes the mechanical properties of the Vacuum Sintering material much better.

    Precision Machining is a part of what we do. We take these sintered blanks. Use machines to make them the right size and shape. This means we do things like milling and grinding and polishing to get the surface right. The Precision Machining process is very important because it helps us get the surface of the Precision Machining products very smooth. We make sure the surface roughness is controlled so it is Ra ≤0.8μm or less. This is important for Precision Machining because it helps us meet the requirements, for putting things and testing them with a lot of precision.

    Surface Treatment: You can get treatments like passivation or annealing to make the surface oxide film more stable. This helps the material resist corrosion and wear. It also makes the material last longer when it is used in tough conditions. The surface oxide film is what gets improved with these treatments so you get better corrosion resistance and wear resistance from the surface treatment. This means the material will have a service life, in harsh environments with the surface treatment.

    Quality Inspection: We check every batch of chromium blocks to make sure they are good. We do lots of tests, on the chromium blocks like checking what they are made of measuring their size testing how hard they are seeing if they can resist corrosion and checking how dense they are. If the chromium blocks pass all these tests we give them a report that says they meet international standards and this report is called an EN 10204 3.1B quality report. This way we can be sure that our chromium blocks are of quality.
