FAQ

Q1: What is the difference between Gr2 and Gr5 surgical titanium sheets? Which one should I choose?

 

A1: Gr2 is commercially pure titanium, with good ductility, toughness and biocompatibility, but lower strength. It is suitable for general surgical components, such as small bone plates, surgical instruments, dental implant abutments, and non-load-bearing implants. Gr5 (Ti-6Al-4V) is a titanium alloy, with higher tensile strength, yield strength and wear resistance, but slightly lower ductility than Gr2. It is suitable for load-bearing implants, such as joint replacement components, spinal fusion cages, and complex fracture fixation plates. You can choose according to the use scenario (load-bearing or non-load-bearing) and mechanical property requirements.

 

Q2: Are your surgical titanium sheets MRI safe? Will they interfere with medical imaging?
