Nickel-molybdenum rods (typical grade Hastelloy B-2/B-3) are positioned in the narrow track of * * high-end mechanical parts in the chemical, petrochemical, and pharmaceutical industries * *. It focuses on the ultra-high molybdenum alloy system of * * Ni ≥ 65% and Mo 26-30% * *, which specifically solves the problems of 316L "unable to withstand concentrated hydrochloric acid", dual-phase steel "easy to brittle at high temperature", C-276 "although all-around but higher cost" pain point.

 

Almost "immune" to corrosion resistance to reducing acids

Any concentration of hydrochloric acid (including boiling state), sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, hydrofluoric acid, or mixed acid, it can reduce the corrosion rate to less than 0.05-0.1 mm/year. The core relies on a dense protective film formed by high molybdenum to directly block chloride ions. As soon as 316L encounters more than 20% concentrated hydrochloric acid, it "bubbles and perforates", but the nickel-molybdenum rod is as stable as an old dog.

Both mechanical strength and toughness are taken into account, suitable for rotary parts

At high temperatures of 400-600 ℃, the strength rate is high, the elongation rate is ≥ 40%, and the ability to resist stress corrosion cracking is strong. When doing stirring shaft and pump shaft, it is acid-resistant and fatigue-resistant, and will not be "broken when turning around" like ordinary stainless steel.

Welding and processing friendly

B-3 low-carbon improved version, almost no intergranular corrosion after welding, can be done with TIG welding on site, no need to go to great lengths for heat treatment. The machining performance is also good, turning, milling, and drilling are all easy.
